Rooster Teeth Productions: RWBY

Hi guys,

I was thinking of another cool thing I could post on these amazing forums and thought about the general chat. It is indeed a great place to just put many of your ideas and shows and what-not. That being said, today I wanted to suggest to you guys a new show by the name of RWBY.

RWBY is a show created by RoosterTeeth. I will provide links below for both the RWBY series and the RoosterTeeth site in general. It is a great place to go when you are looking for some entertainment and they keep the content fresh and constantly released.

RWBY is a show in which four girls attend a legendary school to train hunters and huntresses. Ruby is moved up two years ahead of her time and put directly into training at Beacon, the school. Along with Ruby, her sister Yang, and two others, Weiss and Blake, come along for the ride.

This show is still relatively new and I do not want to spoil much as the basics are pretty much all that they have released so far, so I will leave that for anyone interested to find out. It is a great series and I suggest you should at least try it. After all, it was so good I made it my signature.   

Please leave some feedback for me if you were referred to the show by me. For that matter, leave some feedback anyhow if you have already seen it and tell me what you think. You know what, even if you don't like it after you have watched it, I would love to know why. Some things just aren't for certain people.

Lastly, it is probably not best to leave this for last, but it is actually a very short series as it is a web series. It is about five minute episodes in length and about sixteen in total. It won't drag on and it has a running total of about two and a half hours. Well, I'm going to stop talking so you can go see an amazing series. Have fun

It's a little interesting i guess. To be honest I'm not really a big anime fan myself (this is a form of anime I believe?) so I haven't set high expectations for this. Can't say I quite connect with the characters so far, granted I only just seen the first episode. With that said, I'm willing to be more open, so I might continue to see it through; maybe they'll show some of those dark beasts that they mentioned, which I may be interested in regardless of the show. Perhaps later I could give a more... educated/unbiased opinion, for lack of a better word

Anyway, I do like the idea of suggesting videos and the alike through here. Good stuff.

Thanks for feeback, noriack. I think you are indeed correct in saying you have not seen much of it through the first episode. I also remember mentioning them as five minute episodes. Most range from six-eight minutes while the last three or so are the full chapters and are about fifteen minutes each. As it is the first season of the show, I can say without spoiling anything that they take a lot of time to gradually introduce new characters and make the show a build-up for Volume 2 (coming this Summer).

In regards to anime, RWBY is a big debate in a lot of conversations. Although recently, I came across a website I was reading on it about that said it is animesque. I don't know if that is a word, but I agree in having that sum it up.

Spoiler Alert: They will show some of those dark beasts ^_^ The beginning episode only had the first  fight scene. Many more will follow.

Lastly, while thinking of things to give you, I must say that RoosterTeeth is known for easter eggs now that I think about it, so someone who is not familiar with the company may not be as entertained as someone who is. That being said, I still think it is a great series, the easter eggs are just nice little touches.

EDIT: One last thing. You mentioned the dark beasts. I was wondering if I should include this in the original post. RWBY released four trailers (Red, White, Black, Yellow) with all their respective fight scenes if you are interested with that. END EDIT

Fortunately I am an Avid fan of RWBY as well, so i welcome this. I was playing with the idea of not Pinning (pins it to the top of that category) in the General Chat section, due to the fact that not everyone's posts will be pinned, General chat being open to any topic I thought it best not to, However, with the forum not really getting off of the ground yet and us three being the only ones to post so far I believe I can break my own rules so to speak: To show everyone that bothers to glance the forum the awesome that is RWBY. 


Although, Please do not be offended if the topic becomes unpinned in the near future.
